Welcome to MAZU & NEBI Boat Hotel!
How to Find Us
"We absolutely loved our time on Mazu. We were attending a wedding nearby and I was looking for something a little different than a hotel or inn. From the moment we stepped on board there was an instant feeling of welcome. The boat is tastefully decorated and offered plenty of storage space and privacy. Our host provided delicious fruits and accompaniments.
And Saturday night, after returning from our family event, we were serenaded by amazing blues at Schooner Landing." -K
"I really didn't want to write a review for the Mazu because it is so perfect that we don't want to share with anyone else! We were so surprised to find a Bed and Boat and it was as fabulous as it sounds. Olga and Chip are masters of hospitality. There was not one detail out of place. The boat is charming, was very clean, we were welcomed with cold sparkling wine and fruit and we had the best get away weekend we have had in years! We are going back this summer.Thank you Olga and Chip!"
"Olga and Chip are warm and friendly and are very responsive to your questions and/or additional needs while staying on the Mazu. For instance, Olga was on board five minutes looking for an extra propane tank for the Aft Deck grill. She found the extra tank and we were cooking in 30 minutes. Both Olga and Chip are very knowledgeable about Maine and the River. It was a pleasant-get rid of the communication gadgets-reconnect-fun filled unique experience for couples and families."
What a fantastic time we had aboard the lovely MAZU! Olga and Chip were great hosts, made us feel super welcome, and provided us with everything we needed -- and then some. The Damariscotta River is awesome, the people are friendly and warm, and we had lots of fun with the kayaks and canoe. The only problem was that we didn't have much time, 2 days wasn't nearly enough. We will be back again soon, and hope that we can stay on the MAZU again.
Never stayed on boat and it was wonderful. Really a very unique and special experience. Private yet in the middle of everything. Walking distance from anything you would ever need. Very clean and well kept and owners were great. Special watching sun ups and sunsets on the boat deck. Could kayak right off the boat. Would highly recommend
The weather was perfect and only rivaled by our accommodations on the MAZU. Chip and Olga were great, they had everything setup just perfectly for our weekend stay and made us feel completely at home. My wife was surprised by our weekend getaway to say the least. Everyone was amazed at what an awesome idea it was to stay on a boat for the weekend!!! We will definitely be back to spend more time on the MAZU. Thanks again for making our weekend UNFORGETTABLE!!
"We mostly just hung out on the boat, swimming of the aft deck. When the tide is going out from the Damariscotta River the water really warms up, spent a ton of time in the water. We hung out on the fly bridge watching the tide change and surveying the scene on the docks. Great live music at Schooner's Landing on some evenings. And of course in between a few road trips to some great spots in the area, we just lay in the sun on the foredeck. There is something about sleeping on a boat, the gentle rocking, it's so peaceful. I can't recommend it enough. We'll surely be back."
[..] Olga & Chip were great & easily/quickly accessible. The Mazu was clean, inviting, and comfortable. There were fresh flowers, fruit, wine, and water waiting for us upon arrival. Our kids loved exploring the Mazu, inside and out, as it was such a unique experience for them. Damariscotta is lovely town with great restaurants & shops. It is also close to other nearby attractions such as beaches and lighthouses. [..] We will definitely return!
[...] The kayaks and canoes were a big hit to paddle around the area, and the little town was quaint and fun for shopping and restaurants. The boat is very well equipped and Olga and Chip were very good at communicating. We enjoyed coming home from a day of sight seeing and having a beer on the boat and listening to the music from the dock at Schooner's Landing. The festivities always wound down by 7:30-8:00pm, so it was nice and quiet in the evenings for sleeping. [...]
